  • You can register a death by visiting the local registry office within five days of the death. Bring the medical certificate of cause of death, the deceased’s birth certificate, and any other relevant identification.

  • There is usually no fee for registering a death, but obtaining copies of the death certificate may incur a charge.

  • Once the death is registered, you can typically receive a death certificate on the same day, but it may take longer if additional copies are requested.

  • You can choose burial, cremation, or other methods of body disposition. It's important to discuss these options with family members and the funeral director.
